This gorgeous woman is the subject of one of my favorite pieces from the exhibit Neekid Blk Girls, the reception I went to last night was incredible! Absolutely packed, full of scholars, artists, and the flyest black fashion I’ve seen in a minute! This is a piece by photographer Quazi King, check out his website, his work is stunning.

I was also lucky enough to run into two gorgeous women, Nikisha and Cipriana of Urban Bush Babes. They run a website interested in natural style, hair, and fashion. I was immediately drawn to them across the room by Nikisha’s amazing curls and Cipriana’s sweeping updo, and luckily it was a mutual attraction! I’m sure this isn’t the last time I’ll be looking their way for inspiration.

A fabulous art exhibit, beautiful people, a few more gallery exhibits (including once called East meets East which I’ll have to follow up one) followed by a night of sushi at Momo Sushi Shack in Bushwick is an all around good night!
